About Me
Hi, I'm James.
I've always been drawn to the work that happens before execution.
The conversations that define what a company stands for. The process of discovering the right message. The challenge of translating complex ideas into something people immediately understand and connect with.
I began my career in film, where I developed a deep appreciation for how narrative shapes perception. That foundation naturally evolved into brand strategy and communications, where I found the same principles at work: clarity builds trust, stories create meaning, and the right message can align people around a shared vision.
Over the past six years, I've partnered with businesses to clarify positioning, develop messaging frameworks, and build communication strategies that connect business objectives with customer understanding. Whether launching products, developing brand systems, or leading integrated campaigns, I'm most energized by bringing structure to complexity and helping organizations communicate with greater clarity and purpose.
I'm especially interested in the intersection of brand, communications, and business strategy—where messaging becomes more than marketing and instead becomes a tool for alignment, trust, and long-term growth.
Outside of client work, I spend much of my time analyzing brand narratives, writing about strategic communication, and exploring why certain stories resonate while others don't. It's less about finding clever words and more about understanding how people make sense of the world—and how organizations can communicate with greater intention because of it.
